The Journey Begins

Never doubt God’s mighty power to work in you and accomplish all this. He will achieve infinitely more than your greatest request, your most unbelievable dream, and exceed your wildest imagination! He will outdo them all, for his miraculous power constantly energises you. Eph 3:20 TPT

They always say its not about the destination, it’s about the journey. I beg to disagree. Right here, right now, this is all about the destination. Bringing Heaven to earth.

From a young age I knew I was destined for more. I have been fighting this calling for many years but for the first time (4 years ago) I decided to take ownership of this purpose God has bestowed upon me, and bring healing – through Christ – to a broken and bruised world. God has been preparing me for 20 years, to be able to share my story and bring light to yours.

I grew up with an absent dad in a house of constant fighting. My dad was a successful corporate giant and alcoholic. (Yip, not all alcoholics looks like those you see on TV). Handsome guy I must add, unfortunately my mom wasn’t the only girl who thought so.  Long story short, my childhood consisted of “Where were you”s and “Did you drink again”. My dad eventually moved out to go live with his girlfriend (I guess she was more fun than the family he left behind, at that stage).

And then there was my mom, beauty personified. Five children down the line and she still looked like a model, size 6, red hair and here’s the catch – a heart surrendered to Jesus.

While everyone encouraged her to get divorced my mom, stood on the promise she made before God on their wedding day. She decided to fight not only for their marriage but also for my dad’s soul, his life, his future. She knew there had to be more!

I was 6 years old when my dad left, and my mom decided to pray her husband into the Kingdom. I did not understand much, but believe me when I say I have never experienced obedience the way my mom obeyed her promise and God’s word. I wish I could say it was like magic. “Lord please guide my husband home” and boom, he’s saved, and they lived happily ever after. Unfortunately not.

It took 3 years of constant prayer and spiritual warfare, do you know why? Because the devil couldn’t care less about who my father was at that stage but he knew the impact my dad was going to make the day he surrendered his life. That was the reason for the attack. The size of your attack always measures up to the magnitude of your calling! (oh, how I wish I could share all God has done for us on this post, but it’s simple impossible).

A lot happened in those 3 years, many trials and oceans of tears. Many days, where both me and my mom, wanted to give up. But we didn’t. Today both my parents pastor an amazing church and are anchored in God’s love, living the life God had planned for them. Preaching the Gospel and sharing their incredible testimony.

God gave me a proven weapon, I can never deny His existence, because I know what he did for my family. Our TEST became our TESTimony, and so can yours!

No matter what you are going through, there is only one answer – JESUS!

If you find yourself on a journey where you can’t see the destination. You don’t understand the attacks on your life and you don’t feel fit for the road ahead, I want to encourage you, by telling you, that God has not forgotten you. He is right here, waiting for you to call upon him. He wants to raise you up to become a giant to your giants and to overcome every obstacle the enemy throws your way. You are not your yesterdays, and you are called for a time such as this.

Come with me as we embark on a journey where we discover God’s promises, His love and all the weapons He has instore for us to take our life from ordinary to extraordinary.

I AM because HE IS!
